Wiggly 3D
Wiggle Stereoscopy is a new approach to display 3D images on a computer screen.
First, we should give credit to Jim Gasperini’s website, where we first came across this simply yet effective method.
This method is to simply alternate between the left and right images of a stereogram. This can be easily accomplished by Flash, animated GIF, or simple Javascript. With the correct timing, the 3D effect can be very obvious. It can be viewed with naked eye, without any additional equipment or eye glasses.
The disadvantage of the wiggle method is that it is not suitable for print media. However, it can be a valid method for ebooks.
This webpage is dedicated to using our Cam 3D software for capturing 3D photos. Both wiggly and anaglyph are covered, with emphasis on wiggly.
